The Resilience Academy is a cooperation between five University partners, Finland and in Tanzania aims to establish the foundation of the Resilience Academy and to develop a long-term practice to support the generation and usage of geospatial data for urban resilience and to embed the associated academic and practical skills into Tanzanian Universities.
Resilience Academy is led by four Tanzanian universities with the University of Turku (UTU) acting as the Secretariat. The four Tanzanian Universities includes Ardhi University, University of Dar es Salaam, Sokoine University and State University of Zanzibar. Other Universities being involved in the Resilience Academy are TU Delft and the University of Twente – Faculty ITC (the Netherlands).

RA Student Internship Program engages Tanzanian university students to 8-weeks training with the industry. It participates students and community members in digital geospatial data collection to narrow the data gap for informed resilience planning and management in cities.

RA is managing, storing and sharing digital geospatial data sets with Climate Risk Database (CRD), which is developed on Geonode. All data sets collected by student interns and TURP stakeholders are stored in CRD.
