On 6 December 2023, 16:45- 18:15 UTC+4 Resilience Academy is expected to present on transformative climate services at the COP28 conference. The 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from November 30 to December 12, 2023. Resilience Academy is an Observer at the Conference of the Parties and a prominent European ground-based observation network. As part of the conference, Resilience Academy and the KADI project will host a side event to share their project experiences with the parties.
The focus of the side event will be on transformative climate services, which play a vital role in enabling effective climate mitigation actions. By leveraging available knowledge, resources, and skills, and taking into account local realities and actual observational data, these services provide decision-makers with the necessary tools to address their climate-related challenges. Our speakers, drawing on their experience from the KADI project and Resilience Academy, will share insights and experiences on co-designing and implementing climate services. They will also showcase successful African and European stories that can serve as transferable references.
